The Library of Congress wants your creative input! Your piece might even end up in the permanent collection of the freakin’ Library of Congress:
Just as our new exhibitions highlight the enduring imprint of our nation’s founding influences, we invite you to make your impression by participating in the Library’s Inspiration Across the Nation campaign.
The Library of Congress welcomes your creative submissions now through May 31, 2008. You must be at least 13 years of age to participate. You are fully responsible for everything you submit and agree to send no infringing, defamatory, obscene or slanderous content. Upon submitting, you release all ownership rights to your content, which is then released into the public domain.
Some of the pieces in the gallery collection are, um, rather lame (IMHO), but hey, it’s a neat idea all the same. So get crackin’ and send your stuff here.
