I’m here in Seattle to attend the Pegasus conference, and staying at the Westin Hotel, the familiar twin circular towers in downtown Seattle, alongside the monorail track. The Westin provides in-room internet access for $9.95 for 24 hour access but it’s free in the lobby. The lobby itself is quite posh and the bar area serves beer for $7.50 draft, $6.50 domestic. I’m missing Boise prices!
The weather is fine (periods of clouds and sunshine) and Pike street is a-bustling. The main conference starts on Monday, November 5th, but I’m attending a pre-conference with the fine folks of ICFL and my peeps from SPLAT on Sunday.
Check out the ICFL blog too for additional postings about Pegasus, Seattle, and the people we’ll meet here for the conference. I met a couple on the airport shuttle that came all the way from Orlando, Florida, also first timers to Pegasus. I’m looking forward to all these new ideas!
